Manufacturing is all about creating a final product from raw material in the right quantity. The plant manager (critical responsibility for the manufacturing of the final products.)should make sure that operators, employees follow schedules, the equipments are working and functional and the production plans are met. 

Customer Order Management is all about promoting and marketing a final products while providing exceptional customer service. If a company has a great customer service, it is much more likely to beat the competition. Supply Chain management is directly related to a company's customer service. To satisfy customers, a company needs to manage and fulfill orders effectively and rapidly. It is important to know customer demand and link to available supply. 

Transportation is a very important component of a global supply chain and may be the most complex part. Transportation is the aspect of the supply chain that gets the goods and services to the retailer end of the supply chain. With fuel price increase, driver shortages, and regulatory changes, transportation decisions have a major impact on the bottom line.     

The retailer provides for the sale of goods from a fixed location in small lots for direct consumption by the consumer. They obtain and provide a variety of finished goods to consumer. A large retailer might sell tens of thousands of products from lots of manufacturers.
